If you are staying near the town of Dewey, start at the ferry terminal. Head southeast on Avenida Carlos E. Chardon until you reach PR-251. Turn left onto PR-251 and walk until you reach the intersection with PR-252. Turn right onto PR-252. Continue walking along PR-252 for about 1.5 miles. You will see signs for Playa Melones as you approach, and it will be on your left.
Biking
If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the town of Dewey. Head southeast on Avenida Carlos E. Chardon and turn left onto PR-251. Ride along PR-251 until you reach PR-252. Turn right onto PR-252 and continue cycling for about 1.5 miles. Look for signs directing you to Playa Melones on your left. This route is fairly direct and will take you through beautiful scenery.
Taxi or Shared Ride
For a more convenient option, you can take a taxi or use a local shared ride service. From your accommodation in Culebra, tell the driver you want to go to Playa Melones. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and they will drop you off close to the beach entrance on PR-252.
