Walking
If you are staying in the town center of Guánica, start by heading west towards Route 116. Continue walking on Route 116 until you reach the intersection with Route 308. Turn left onto Route 308 and continue walking for about 5 kilometers. You'll pass several local shops and restaurants along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Cabo Rojo. Once you reach the town of Cabo Rojo, follow the signs leading to Buyé Beach, which is situated on Cam Buye. The beach will be on your right after you pass through the residential area. The total walk is approximately 7 kilometers and should take around 1.5 to 2 hours.
Bicycle
For a more scenic route, consider renting a bicycle. Start from the main square in Guánica and head west towards Route 116. Once you reach Route 116, turn left and cycle along the road. After about 5 kilometers, turn left onto Route 308. Continue cycling for another 2 kilometers, and you will arrive at Buyé Beach. The ride is approximately 7 kilometers in total and should take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.
Public Transport
To reach Buyé Beach using public transport, you will need to take a guagua (shared minibus) from Guánica. Head to the main bus terminal located near the town square. Look for a guagua heading towards Cabo Rojo. Once on board, inform the driver that you want to go to Buyé Beach. The ride will take about 20-30 minutes. After you get off, follow the signs towards the beach, which is just a short walk away. Total travel time including waiting for the guagua could be around 1 hour.
