To reach Cayo Icacos from Luquillo, start by walking to the nearest bus stop for the public bus service. Take the 'Guagua' bus heading towards Fajardo. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Fajardo terminal, which is the last stop. Once you arrive at the Fajardo terminal, exit the bus and look for the ferry terminal, which is within walking distance (approximately 10 minutes). Follow the signs to 'Ferry to Cayo Icacos'. Purchase your ferry ticket at the terminal and board the ferry to Cayo Icacos. The ferry ride takes about 15-20 minutes.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or arrange for a shared ride service from Luquillo to the Fajardo ferry terminal. Simply ask your hotel or a local for a taxi, or use a rideshare app. The drive to the terminal will take around 20-30 minutes.
