Getting There

• Walking

  From the town center of Luquillo, head east towards Route 3. Walk along Route 3 until you reach the intersection with Route 191. Turn left onto Route 191 and continue walking. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Fajardo. After approximately 1.5 miles, you will arrive at a small parking area near the entrance to the beach. The entrance to Playa Escondida is located just past the parking lot. If necessary, ask locals for 'Playa Escondida' to confirm your route.

• Public Transit

  From Luquillo, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 3, near the Plaza Luquillo. Catch a 'Guagua' (public minibus) heading towards Fajardo. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Playa Escondida. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you get off, follow the path leading to the beach, which should be marked. It's a short walk from the bus stop to the beach entrance.

• Bicycle

  If you're able to rent a bicycle in Luquillo, start by heading east on Route 3. Cycle towards Route 191 and turn left. Continue cycling for about 1.5 miles until you see signs for Playa Escondida. There are designated bike paths in some areas, but be cautious of traffic. Once you reach the entrance, you'll need to lock your bike at the parking area and walk the short distance to the beach.
