Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Walking
If you are starting from the main beach area of Rincón (Playa Domes), head west along the coastline. Walk along the beach until you reach the end of the sandy area, then continue on the path that runs along the cliffside. This path will eventually lead you to the entrance of El Faro de Rincón. The walk is approximately 30 minutes, and you will enjoy beautiful views of the ocean along the way.
Public Transport
You can take a local guagua (public minibus) from the center of Rincón to the nearest stop to El Faro de Rincón. Look for the guagua heading towards 'Cabo Rojo' and ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to El Faro. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk up the hill to the lighthouse. Make sure to check the guagua schedule as they may not run frequently.
Biking
If you're renting a bicycle, start from the town center and head towards the coast. Follow the road that runs parallel to the beach, and continue until you reach the intersection with Route 115. Turn left onto Route 115 and follow the signs for El Faro de Rincón. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes, and you can lock your bike near the entrance.
