Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Old San Juan, head towards the eastern edge of the city. From Plaza de Armas, walk towards the San Juan Gate (Puerta de San Juan). Continue walking along the shoreline pathway towards Castillo San Felipe del Morro. After passing El Morro, keep walking along the coast until you reach Calle Norzagaray. Turn left onto Calle Norzagaray, and you will find Garita del Diablo located along this road. The garita (watchtower) is marked by its distinctive architecture and is situated near the edge of the cliff, offering stunning ocean views.

    From the central area of Old San Juan, you can take a local bus (the D23 route) from the bus station near Plaza de Armas. Board the bus towards Isla Verde and get off at the stop closest to El Morro. After disembarking, walk towards El Morro and continue along the coastal path. Follow the shoreline and turn left onto Calle Norzagaray. Garita del Diablo will be on your left side after a short walk.
