Getting There

Walking

If you're starting from the historic district of Old San Juan, head east on Calle del Cristo towards Plaza de Armas. As you walk, enjoy the vibrant colonial architecture and local shops. Once you reach Plaza de Armas, continue straight onto Calle San Francisco. After a few blocks, take a left onto Calle de la Fortaleza. From the San Juan bus terminal, take the public bus route 'D53' towards Old San Juan. Get off at the stop near Plaza de Armas. From there, walk east on Calle del Cristo, and follow the same walking directions as above towards La Fortaleza.
Bicycle

If you have access to a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Old San Juan. Head towards Plaza de Armas, then ride east on Calle del Cristo. Continue to Calle San Francisco, make a left, and then take a left onto Calle de la Fortaleza. You’ll find La Fortaleza at number 63.
