Getting There

Walking
If you are staying in Isabel Segunda, start by heading south on Calle J. A. Borrás toward Calle Flamboyán. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with PR-200. Turn left onto PR-200 and walk for about 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with PR-997. From there, turn right onto PR-997 and continue walking for another 1.2 miles. You will see the entrance to Vieques National Wildlife Refuge on your left. Look for the sign that indicates the entrance.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Isabel Segunda. Start your ride heading south on Calle J. A. Borrás until you reach PR-200. Turn left onto PR-200 and cycle for approximately 1.5 miles. When you reach the intersection with PR-997, turn right onto PR-997. Continue cycling for about 1.2 miles, and you will find the entrance to Vieques National Wildlife Refuge on your left. Keep an eye out for the sign indicating the entrance.

Public Transportation
From the ferry terminal or your accommodation in Isabel Segunda, look for local guaguas (public vans) that travel towards the southern part of the island. Board a guagua that is heading to the beaches or the wildlife refuge. Inform the driver that you are going to Vieques National Wildlife Refuge; they will drop you off at or near the entrance. Make sure to confirm with the driver beforehand, as routes may vary.

You can call a local taxi service or use a rideshare app available in Vieques. Provide the driver with the address: 4JR4+QXF, State Rd 997 km 3.2, Vieques, 00765.
