Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from the town of Isabel Segunda, located on the northern side of Vieques Island. Head south on Route 201 (Calle Antonio F. G. de la Torre) until you reach the intersection with Route 200. Turn left onto Route 200 and continue south. Keep driving until you reach the fork where Route 200 merges with Route 201 again. Continue straight on Route 201 until you see a sign for Playa Pata Prieta on your left. Follow the dirt road down to the beach parking area. Please note that the road can be bumpy, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

Public Transportation
To reach Playa Pata Prieta using public transportation, you will need to take a taxi or a public car service (known as 'carros públicos') from Isabel Segunda. Look for a vehicle marked with a taxi sign or ask locals for a public car service. Inform the driver that you want to go to Playa Pata Prieta. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes and should cost around $15-20 per person, depending on the number of passengers and the driver. Once you arrive at the nearest drop-off point, you may have to walk a short distance to reach the beach access.
