If you are driving to Charco El Hippie, start from the main entrance of El Yunque National Forest. Follow the PR-191 road south until you reach the intersection with PR-3. Turn left onto PR-3 and continue for about 5 miles. Look for the signs indicating 'Cam. La Planta' and turn right onto this road. Continue on Cam. La Planta for about 1.5 miles. You'll see a small parking area on the left, which is where you can park your car. From the parking area, follow the trail that leads down to Charco El Hippie.

To reach Charco El Hippie via public transportation, take a bus or colectivo (shared taxi) from San Juan to Naguabo. Once you arrive in Naguabo, you will need to hire a taxi or find a local colectivo that can take you to Cam. La Planta. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Charco El Hippie. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting the ride, as prices can vary. Once you arrive at Cam. La Planta, look for the parking area on the left where you can get dropped off. From there, follow the trail down to Charco El Hippie.
