Car
If you're driving, start by heading east on PR-26 from San Juan. Follow the signs for 'Carolina' and then merge onto PR-3 south. Continue on PR-3 for about 30 minutes until you reach the intersection with PR-191. Turn left onto PR-191 and follow it for approximately 10 minutes. You will see signs for El Yunque National Forest. Keep an eye out for the entrance on your right.

Public Transportation
To reach El Yunque National Forest using public transportation, take the bus route 40 from Santurce (across from Plaza las Américas) towards Rio Grande. The journey takes about 1 hour. Get off at the stop near the entrance to El Yunque National Forest. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance for return trips.
