Getting There

  • Car

    Start from the main entrance of Arcadia Management Area. Head southeast on Arcadia Road toward Route 165. Take a right turn onto Route 165 and continue for approximately 9 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 114. Turn left onto Route 114, and continue for about 5 miles. You will pass through the towns of Coventry and East Greenwich. Follow Route 114 until you reach Barrington. As you approach Barrington, look for signs for Haines Memorial State Park. Turn right onto Haines Park Road. The park entrance will be on the right. Note: There may be parking fees, so be sure to check for any signage upon arrival.

  • Public Transportation

    From Arcadia Management Area, the nearest public transportation option is to take a bus from the closest station in West Greenwich. You will need to take the RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority) Bus #66 towards Providence. Transfer at the Kennedy Plaza in Providence to Bus #14 towards Barrington. The total trip may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Barrington, disembark at the nearest stop to Haines Park Road and walk approximately 15 minutes to the park entrance.
