If you are driving from Arcadia Management Area, head southwest on Arcadia Rd toward RI-165 W. Continue on RI-165 W for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with US-1 S. Merge onto US-1 S and continue for approximately 13 miles. Take the exit toward RI-138 E and merge onto RI-138 E. Follow RI-138 E for about 5 miles, then take the exit for RI-138 E/RI-24 S toward Newport. Merge onto RI-24 S and continue for about 6 miles. Follow the signs for Newport and merge onto US-1 S. Continue on US-1 S until you reach Newport. Once in Newport, follow the signs to the waterfront area, where the Newport Harbor Lighthouse is located.

To reach Newport Harbor Lighthouse via public transportation, take the RIde bus service from Arcadia Management Area. You would need to first take the bus to the closest transit hub, which is in Westerly, RI. From there, catch the RIde bus heading to Newport. The bus will take you directly to Newport's downtown area. Once you arrive in Newport, walk toward the waterfront area where the lighthouse is located. It's a short 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop.
