Car
If you are traveling by car, start from anywhere on Block Island. Head towards the Old Harbor area, which is the main hub for restaurants and shops. From Old Harbor, follow Water Street to the west until it becomes Chapel Street. Continue on Chapel Street until you reach Corn Neck Road. Turn right onto Corn Neck Road, and follow it as it curves. After about 1.5 miles, take a left onto Ocean Avenue. Continue on Ocean Avenue until you reach the intersection with Ochre Point Avenue. The Breakers will be on your left at 44 Ochre Point Ave, Newport, RI 02840. Note that parking may incur fees, especially during peak tourist season.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, first make your way to the Block Island Ferry terminal located at Old Harbor. Take the ferry to Newport, Rhode Island. The ferry ride typically takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Newport, you can either walk or take a local bus to reach The Breakers. If walking, head northwest on America's Cup Avenue, then turn left onto Thames Street. Continue straight until you reach Memorial Boulevard, and take a right. Follow Memorial Boulevard until you reach Ochre Point Avenue, then turn left. The Breakers will be on your right at 44 Ochre Point Ave. Be aware that ferry tickets will incur a cost, typically around $20 for a round trip.
