Car
If you're driving, start from the Block Island Ferry terminal located at 2 Ferry Rd, New Shoreham, RI. Head southwest on Ferry Rd, then turn left onto Corn Neck Rd. Continue on Corn Neck Rd until you reach Mohegan Trail. Turn left onto Mohegan Trail, and you'll find The Painted Rock along the roadside. There is no dedicated parking, so be mindful of local parking regulations.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the Block Island Bus service from the Old Harbor area. Board a bus heading towards the Mohegan Trail route. The bus will take you directly to Mohegan Trail. Once you disembark, The Painted Rock is a short walk away; simply head east on Mohegan Trail, and you will see the landmark along the roadside. Walking
If you are staying in the Old Harbor area and prefer walking, head northwest on Water St towards Chapel St. Continue straight onto Ocean Ave, which will turn into Corn Neck Rd. Follow Corn Neck Rd until it intersects with Mohegan Trail. Turn left onto Mohegan Trail and walk a short distance; The Painted Rock will be visible along the road. This is approximately a 2-mile walk, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water!
