Walking
From the Block Island Ferry Terminal, head southeast on Water Street towards Chapel Street. Continue straight onto Chapel Street, which will lead you into the main area of town. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the intersection with Old Town Road. Turn right onto Old Town Road and keep walking for another 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with Mohegan Trail. Turn left onto Mohegan Trail. Continue walking for approximately 1 mile. The Painted Rock will be on your left side, located near the rocky shoreline.

Biking
If you have rented a bike, start from the Block Island Ferry Terminal. Cycle southeast on Water Street, then turn right onto Chapel Street, which will take you towards the main town area. Continue to Old Town Road and turn right. Bike along Old Town Road for about 0.4 miles until you reach Mohegan Trail. Turn left onto Mohegan Trail and continue biking for about 1 mile. The Painted Rock will be on your left, close to the shoreline.
