From anywhere in Bristol County, you can reach the Old State House in Providence by taking Route 114 or Route 136 towards Route 195. Merge onto I-195 W and follow the signs for Providence. Take exit 2A for I-95 N toward Boston. Continue on I-95 N for about 2 miles, then take exit 22A toward Downtown/Route 6. Continue on Washington St, then turn right onto Benefit St. The Old State House will be on your left at 150 Benefit St, Providence, RI 02903. There may be parking available on the street or nearby parking lots, which may incur a fee ranging from $1 to $5 per hour.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the RIPTA bus service. Check the bus schedules for the nearest bus stop in your area. Routes like 1 or 40 will take you towards downtown Providence. Get off at the Kennedy Plaza stop, which is the main hub for buses in Providence. From Kennedy Plaza, it's a 10-minute walk to the Old State House. Head east on Washington St, then turn right onto Benefit St. The Old State House will be at 150 Benefit St. Bus fares are typically $2.00, and you can pay in cash or use a RIPTA transit card.
