Getting There

Car
From any location within Burlingame State Park, exit the park and turn onto Route 1. Head north on Route 1 for approximately 6 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 138. Turn left onto Route 138 East. Continue on Route 138 for about 4 miles. Take the exit toward Kingston and merge onto Kingstown Road (Route 108). South County History Center will be on your right at 2636 Kingstown Rd, Kingston, RI 02881. There is free parking available on-site.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will first need to get to the nearest bus stop outside of Burlingame State Park. The closest bus stop is located on Route 1, which is approximately 3 miles from the park entrance. From there, take the RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority) bus number 66 towards Kingston. The bus will take you directly to a stop near Kingstown Road. Once you get off at the Kingstown Road stop, it’s about a 10-minute walk to South County History Center, located at 2636 Kingstown Rd, Kingston, RI 02881.
