Getting There

• Bus

  From Narragansett, head to the nearest bus stop at the Narragansett Pier. You can take the RIPTA Route 14 bus toward Providence. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Stay on the bus until you reach the Kennedy Plaza stop in Providence, which is the main transit hub. From Kennedy Plaza, transfer to the Route 1 bus towards Brown University. Get off at the Thayer Street stop, and you will be just a short walk away from Brown University.

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Narragansett. Start by heading north on Ocean Road towards Narragansett Town Beach. Continue on South Pier Road and then take a left onto Route 1. Follow the bike lanes carefully; the ride will take about an hour. Once you reach Providence, follow signs to College Hill. Brown University is located on the high ground of College Hill, and you will see its distinctive buildings as you approach.

  Walking from Narragansett to Brown University is not practical due to the distance, but if you’re feeling adventurous, you could walk to the nearest bus stop and take the bus to Providence, as described above. If you are already in Providence, from Kennedy Plaza, walk north along Washington Street, then turn left on Benefit Street. Continue walking straight until you reach Brown University’s campus, which is located at the intersection of Waterman Street and Prospect Street.

The drive from Narragansett to Brown University will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
