Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from downtown Newport. Head southwest on Thames Street towards America’s Cup Avenue. Continue on America’s Cup Avenue, then turn left onto Memorial Boulevard. Follow Memorial Boulevard until you reach the intersection with Bellevue Avenue. Turn right onto Bellevue Avenue and continue for about 1.5 miles. Look for signs directing you to Blue Garden, which is located at approximately 41.4640° N latitude and -71.3356° W longitude. There is limited street parking available near the entrance, so be sure to check for any parking restrictions or fees.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Blue Garden via public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus service. From downtown Newport, board the Route 60 bus towards Middletown. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes and disembark at the Bellevue Avenue stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to Blue Garden. Head north on Bellevue Avenue, and look for signs to guide you to the garden entrance. Please note that bus fares may apply, so have exact change or a transit pass ready.

• Walking

  If you're already near the downtown area of Newport, you can easily walk to Blue Garden. From the waterfront area, head north on Thames Street and then turn left onto Memorial Boulevard. Follow Memorial Boulevard as it leads you towards Bellevue Avenue. Once you reach Bellevue Avenue, turn right and continue walking for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the garden. This scenic walk will take you through some beautiful parts of Newport, so take your time and enjoy the sights along the way.
