Car

If you are driving, start from downtown Newport. Head west on America's Cup Ave toward the Newport Bridge. After crossing the bridge, continue on RI-138 W. Merge onto RI-24 N toward Fall River. Take exit 1 for RI-138 W toward Jamestown. Follow RI-138 W for approximately 10 miles. As you approach Jamestown, take a left onto Beavertail Rd. The Beavertail Lighthouse Museum will be on your right after about 1.5 miles.
Public Transportation

To reach Beavertail Lighthouse Museum via public transportation, take the RIPTA bus #60 from Newport to Jamestown. The bus departs from the Newport Transportation Center. Ride the bus until you reach the Jamestown Town Hall stop. From there, walk west on Narragansett Ave for about 0.5 miles until you reach Beavertail Rd. Turn right onto Beavertail Rd and walk for another mile; the lighthouse will be on your left.
