If you are driving from downtown Newport, start by heading south on Thames Street towards Memorial Blvd. Continue straight onto Ocean Ave, which will turn into Ocean Drive. Follow Ocean Drive for about 2 miles, and you will see the entrance to Brenton Point State Park on your right. Look for the parking area at the entrance.

To reach Brenton Point State Park via public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus number 67 from the Newport Gateway Center. The bus will take you along the scenic Ocean Drive route. Get off at the stop nearest to the park entrance, which is roughly a 15-minute ride. From there, walk a short distance towards the park entrance.
