    If you're driving from Newport, take US-1 North. Continue for about 10 miles until you reach the exit for RI-138 E toward Jamestown. Merge onto RI-138 E, and then take the exit for RI-1 N toward North Kingstown. Stay on RI-1 N for about 3 miles, and then take the exit for Boston Neck Road. Turn left onto Boston Neck Road. After approximately 2 miles, you'll find John H. Chafee Rome Point Preserve on your right at 1344 Boston Neck Rd, North Kingstown, RI 02852. There is no entry fee for the preserve.

    For those using public transportation, start by taking the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus Route 67 from Newport. Ride the bus towards North Kingstown. You will need to transfer at the Wickford Junction station. From there, take the Route 1 bus heading towards the North Kingstown area. Get off at the stop closest to Boston Neck Road.
