Car
If you are driving, head towards Narragansett, Rhode Island. From Newport, take Route 1 South. Stay on Route 1 for approximately 12 miles. Take the exit for Route 1A/Narragansett and follow signs for Narragansett Pier. Continue on Route 1A, then turn onto Strathmore Street. The South County Museum will be on your left at 115 Strathmore St, Narragansett, RI 02882. There is parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take the RIPTA bus #14 from Newport to Narragansett. The bus stops at several points in Newport, including the Newport Transportation Center. You will stay on the bus for about 35 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to 115 Strathmore Street. From there, it's a short walk to the museum. Please check the RIPTA website for current fares and schedules, as they may incur a small fee.
Bicycle
If you are an adventurous traveler and prefer biking, you can ride along the scenic routes that connect Newport to Narragansett. Start by taking the East Bay Bike Path towards Route 1. Once you reach Route 1, carefully bike along the road to Narragansett. Upon reaching Narragansett, follow the signs to Strathmore Street. The museum is located on your left at 115 Strathmore St. Ensure your bike is in good condition and wear a helmet for safety.
