    Getting There

    Bus

    To reach Brenton Point State Park from the center of Pawtucket, head to the nearest bus stop at Pawtucket Transit Center. Board the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) Bus #60 towards Newport. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes, passing through East Providence and Bristol. Disembark at the ‘Ocean Drive, Newport’ stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the park. Head south on Ocean Drive, and you will see the entrance to Brenton Point State Park on your right.

    Bike

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Pawtucket. Start your journey heading south on Main Street towards the East Bay Bike Path. Follow the bike path which runs along the waterfront, and continue towards Bristol. Once you reach the end of the bike path, take a left onto Hope Street which leads into Newport. Follow the signs to Ocean Drive. Brenton Point State Park will be on your left as you approach the coastline.

    Walking

    For those who enjoy walking, you can make your way to the nearest bus stop at Pawtucket Transit Center and take Bus #60 to Newport as described above. However, if you're feeling adventurous and want to walk the distance, start at the Pawtucket City Hall and head south on Main Street. Continue walking for about 2 miles until you reach the East Bay Bike Path. Follow the bike path south towards Newport. This is a longer route, approximately 10 miles, so be prepared for a lengthy walk.
