Bus
From Pawtucket, head to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Board the RIPTA Bus Route 60 towards Newport. Ensure to check the schedule for the bus times. After approximately 50 minutes of travel, disembark at the Newport Gateway Center. From there, walk towards America’s Cup Avenue and follow the signs towards the Cliff Walk. The Cliff Walk entrance is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop, heading south along the coast.
Train and Bus
From Pawtucket, make your way to the Pawtucket/Central Falls Train Station. Take the MBTA train towards Boston and get off at the Providence station. From Providence, transfer to the RIPTA Bus Route 60 towards Newport. After about 30 minutes on the bus, get off at the Newport Gateway Center. Walk south along America’s Cup Avenue, and follow the signs to the Cliff Walk, which is a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bike Rental
If you’re feeling adventurous, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Pawtucket. Follow the bike lane along Main Street heading south towards Newport. The bike ride will take about an hour. Once you reach Newport, head towards the coastline and follow the signs to the Cliff Walk, which will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
