If you are driving, start by getting onto I-95 N from your current location. Follow I-95 N for about 10 miles, then take exit 22C for I-195 E toward Cape Cod. Continue on I-195 E for approximately 2 miles. Take exit 2 for US-44 W/US-1 N toward Downtown/Providence. After about half a mile, keep left at the fork to continue on US-44 W, which becomes N Main St. Continue on N Main St for about 1 mile. The RISD Museum will be on your right at 20 N Main St, Providence, RI 02903.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, find the nearest bus stop that services the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA). You can take Bus Route 1 or Route 92, both of which stop near the RISD Museum. If you take Route 1, board the bus heading towards Downtown Providence and get off at the stop on N Main St. Walk about 2 minutes north on N Main St. The museum will be on your right at 20 N Main St, Providence, RI 02903. If using Route 92, board the bus towards Kennedy Plaza and transfer to Route 1 at the Kennedy Plaza stop.
