Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Providence, take I-95 South. Continue on I-95 until you reach Exit 22 for I-195 East toward Cape Cod. Merge onto I-195 East. Take Exit 1B for US-1 South toward Newport. Continue on US-1 South for about 15 miles until you reach Newport. Follow signs for Bellevue Avenue and turn left onto Bellevue Avenue. Chateau-sur-Mer will be located at 474 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI 02840. Parking is available on-site, but check for any fees that might apply.

• Public Transportation

  From Providence, take the RIPTA bus route 60 to Newport. The bus departs from the Kennedy Plaza transit station. The fare is $2.00. Once you arrive in Newport, you can either walk or take a local taxi or rideshare service to reach Chateau-sur-Mer at 474 Bellevue Ave. The distance from the bus station to Chateau-sur-Mer is about 1.5 miles, so it may take around 30 minutes to walk, or a short taxi ride will cost approximately $10.

• Combination of Public Transit and Taxi

  Take the Amtrak train from Providence to the Westerly station. From Westerly, take a taxi to Newport, which is about a 30-minute ride. Expect the taxi fare to be around $40. Once in Newport, you can either walk or take another taxi to Chateau-sur-Mer at 474 Bellevue Ave. The distance from downtown Newport to Chateau-sur-Mer is approximately 1 mile, making it a pleasant walk if the weather permits.
