    Getting There

    Car

    From anywhere in South County, get onto Route 1 North. Follow Route 1 until you see signs for Route 138 East towards Newport. Merge onto Route 138 East and continue until you reach the traffic circle at the end of the bridge. Take the second exit onto the Newport Pell Bridge. Once across the bridge, take the first exit for Route 238 South towards Newport. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Ocean Ave. Turn left onto Ocean Ave. Continue on Ocean Ave for approximately 3 miles. The Castle Hill Lighthouse will be on your left at 800-870 Ocean Ave, Newport, RI 02840. There is free parking available near the lighthouse.

    Public Transportation

    If you're using public transportation, start by taking the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus number 14 from South Kingstown towards Newport. Get off at the Newport Gateway Center. From there, transfer to bus number 67 (Ocean Drive) which will take you along Ocean Ave. The bus will stop near the lighthouse. Be sure to check the schedule for the last bus times as they can vary. Note that there is a fare for the bus, typically around $2.00, so keep some cash or a bus pass handy. The lighthouse is a short walk from the bus stop.
