Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto I-95 N from anywhere in South County. Follow I-95 N for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 22A toward Downtown Providence. Merge onto I-195 E and follow it for about 1.5 miles. Take exit 2 for Weybosset St toward City Center. Continue onto Weybosset St, and you will arrive at Custom House located at 24 Weybosset St, Providence, RI 02903. There may be parking available nearby, but be prepared for potential parking fees.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  To reach Custom House via public transportation, you can take the RIPTA bus from various points in South County. Check the RIPTA website for the nearest bus stop and schedule. You will want to take Bus 14 or 63 toward Providence. Get off at the Kennedy Plaza stop. From there, walk to Weybosset St; it is about a 5-minute walk. Head east on Dorrance St toward Weybosset St, and then turn left onto Weybosset St. Custom House will be at 24 Weybosset St. Note that bus fares are typically around $2.00.

• Train

  If you're considering taking the train, you can travel from South County to Providence using the MBTA or Amtrak services. Check the schedules for departure times. Once you arrive at the Providence train station, take a local bus, taxi, or rideshare service to get to Custom House. The approximate 1.5-mile distance from the train station to Custom House can also be covered by a 30-minute walk. Expect to pay for train tickets, which can vary based on your departure point and time of travel.
