    From any point within Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, head northwest on Trustom Pond Road. Continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach the junction with Route 1. At the junction, turn left onto Route 1 South. Follow Route 1 for approximately 2 miles. Take the exit for Route 138 East toward Jamestown. Merge onto Route 138 and continue for about 5 miles. You will pass through scenic areas. As you approach Saunderstown, follow the signs for John H. Chafee National Wildlife Refuge. The entrance will be on your right directly off of Route 138, where you will see the signage for the refuge.
