If you are driving from the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, exit the refuge area and head south on Sand Hill Cove Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with BIA Route 411. Turn left onto BIA Route 411. Proceed for approximately 1.5 miles, and you will find Schoolhouse Pond Preserve on your left, at the address 578-414 BIA Route 411, Charlestown, RI 02813. There are no parking fees at the preserve.

If you are using public transportation, start at the nearest bus stop to Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge. Take the RIPTA bus route 66 towards Narragansett. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the stop near the intersection of BIA Route 411 and Sand Hill Cove Road. From there, it is about a 30-minute walk to Schoolhouse Pond Preserve. Head north on BIA Route 411 for about 1.5 miles. Please check the RIPTA website for current bus schedules and fare information.
