Car

If you're driving from any point in Narragansett Beach, head south on Ocean Road (RI-1A) directly towards Scarborough State Beach. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 miles. You’ll see the entrance sign for Scarborough State Beach on your right at 970 Ocean Rd. There is a parking fee of $10 for non-residents during the summer season, so be prepared to pay this fee. Once parked, you can easily walk to the beach entrance.
Public Transportation

To reach Scarborough State Beach via public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus service. Board the Route 14 bus at any stop along the route heading towards Narragansett. You will want to disembark at the stop closest to the Scarborough State Beach entrance, which is at 970 Ocean Rd. It's a short walk from the bus stop to the beach entrance. A one-way fare on RIPTA is $2.00, and you can pay cash to the driver when boarding.
