Getting There

• Walking

  If you are staying in the central area of Watch Hill, you can easily walk to Watch Hill Harbor. Start at the Watch Hill Lighthouse, which is a well-known landmark. From the lighthouse, head south on Lighthouse Rd until you reach Bay St. Turn left onto Bay St, and continue walking until you arrive at Watch Hill Harbor located at 50 Bay St. The walk should take approximately 10-15 minutes and offers lovely views along the way.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Watch Hill. Start at the rental shop and head towards Lighthouse Rd, cycling south until you reach Bay St. Turn left on Bay St and continue straight to reach Watch Hill Harbor at 50 Bay St. The bike ride will take around 5-10 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Public Transportation

  If you are coming from a nearby area, the nearest bus stop is located at the intersection of Bay St and Watch Hill Rd. Check the local bus schedule for routes that service this area. Once you disembark at the Bay St stop, it’s a short walk down Bay St to reach Watch Hill Harbor at 50 Bay St. Make sure to have exact change or a bus pass for fare payment.

• Car

  If you are driving, from the center of Westerly, take Route 1 south towards Watch Hill. Follow the signs for Watch Hill and turn onto Bay St. There is limited parking available near Watch Hill Harbor, so be sure to check for parking regulations. If parking is full, you may need to park in the nearby public lot and walk to the harbor which is about a 5-minute walk.
