If you're driving, head towards Jamestown, which is located just a short distance from Newport. From Newport, take RI-138 W towards Jamestown. Continue on RI-138 W until you reach the Jamestown Bridge. After crossing the bridge, stay on RI-138 W, then take the exit towards Beavertail State Park. Follow the signs to Beavertail Rd, and keep going until you reach the park entrance. Parking is available on-site, and there is no fee to park.

For those using public transportation, take the RIPTA bus #60 from Newport to Jamestown. The bus typically departs from the Newport Gateway Center.
