  • Public Transportation

    From Westerly, head to the Westerly Train Station located at 14 Railroad Ave, Westerly, RI 02891. Take the Amtrak Northeast Regional train heading towards Boston. Get off at Kingston Station (approximately a 20-minute ride). Once at Kingston Station, transfer to the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus route 66. Board the bus heading towards Newport. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Get off at the Beavertail State Park stop. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Beavertail State Park.

  • Biking

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Westerly. Start at the Westerly Town Beach and follow the scenic coastal route north along Route 1 (Post Road) towards Jamestown. Continue on the bike path towards Beavertail State Park. The ride is approximately 8 miles and offers beautiful views of the coastline. Follow the road signs directing you to Beavertail State Park, which will lead you directly to the entrance.
