From Westerly, head to the nearest bus stop located at the Westerly Train Station. Take the RIPTA bus route 66 towards Newport. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to the Cliff Walk area, which is near Memorial Blvd and the entrance to the Cliff Walk. Once you get off the bus, walk towards the ocean, and you will find the entrance to the Cliff Walk.

Train
Start your journey at the Westerly Train Station. Board the Amtrak Northeast Regional train heading towards Boston. Get off at the next stop which is in Kingston, RI. From there, transfer to the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus route 66 that goes directly to Newport. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Newport, walk towards the waterfront and follow signs for the Cliff Walk.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Westerly. Head west on Route 1, then take a left onto Route 138. Follow Route 138 until you reach Newport. The total distance is around 16 miles, and the ride will take about 1.5 hours. Once in Newport, head towards the Cliff Walk, which is located along the eastern shore of the city. Look for signs directing you to the entrance.

For the adventurous, walking from Westerly to Newport is an option, although it is quite a long journey (approximately 16 miles). Start by walking west on Main St towards Route 1. Cross the highway and continue on local roads that lead to Newport. This will take several hours, so be prepared with water and snacks. Once you arrive in Newport, head toward the Cliff Walk located near Memorial Blvd.
