Walking
If you're starting from the center of Westerly, head north on High Street towards the intersection with Franklin Street. Continue straight as High Street becomes W Railroad Avenue. Follow W Railroad Avenue until you reach the intersection with Canal Street. Turn left onto Canal Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (Post Road). Cross Route 1 at the pedestrian crosswalk and continue on Canal Street which will become Park Avenue. Follow Park Avenue for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Monument Street. Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park will be on your right.

Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, start from the center of Westerly and head north on High Street towards Franklin Street. Continue straight as High Street becomes W Railroad Avenue. Once on W Railroad Avenue, you can maintain a steady pace until reaching Canal Street. Turn left onto Canal Street and continue until you reach Route 1. Carefully cross Route 1 at the marked pedestrian crosswalk and then follow Canal Street, which turns into Park Avenue. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 miles to the intersection with Monument Street. The park will be on your right-hand side.
