From the center of Westerly, head south on High Street towards Canal Street. Turn right onto Canal Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Cross over to the other side of Route 1 and catch the R.I. Public Transit Bus #66 towards Newport. This bus will take you directly to Newport. Once you arrive in Newport, get off at the bus stop near the Newport Visitor Information Center, which is located at 21 Long Wharf Mall.

Bicycling
If you're comfortable riding a bike, you can cycle from Westerly to Newport. Start at the Westerly Town Beach and follow the scenic route along the coastline. Take Route 1 south until you reach the junction with Route 138. Follow Route 138 towards Newport. Once in Newport, navigate to Long Wharf Mall, where the Newport Visitor Information Center is located at the end of the mall.

To reach the Newport Visitor Information Center via public transit, walk to the nearest bus stop in Westerly. Take the R.I. Public Transit Bus #66 heading towards Newport. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Newport, disembark at the stop closest to Long Wharf Mall.
