Walking
From the center of Westerly, head south on Main Street toward High Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (Post Road). Turn left onto Route 1 and walk for approximately 0.5 miles. You will pass various shops and eateries along the way. After reaching the intersection with Route 1A, continue straight for another 0.3 miles. Look for signs indicating Fort Road, which will be on your right. Turn onto Fort Road and walk for about 0.7 miles until you reach the entrance of Napatree Point Conservation Area, which will be on your left. Enjoy the beautiful coastal views and natural surroundings.
Biking
If you have a bike, start at the Westerly Town Hall and head south on High Street. After about 0.3 miles, turn left onto Main Street and continue for another 0.3 miles until you reach Route 1. Turn right onto Route 1 and bike for approximately 0.5 miles. At the intersection with Route 1A, continue straight for another 0.3 miles. Look for Fort Road on your right and turn onto it. Napatree Point Conservation Area will be about 0.7 miles down Fort Road on your left. This route is mostly flat and offers some scenic views along the way.
Public Transportation
If you prefer taking public transportation, you can catch the South County Transit RTE 1 bus from the Westerly Train Station. Take the bus heading towards Narragansett and get off at the stop near the intersection of Route 1 and Route 1A. From there, you will need to walk approximately 0.6 miles south along Route 1A, then turn right onto Fort Road. Napatree Point Conservation Area will be on your left after about 0.7 miles. Check the bus schedule in advance to ensure timely connections.
