    From Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, head southwest on Yawgoo Valley Rd toward Route 138. Turn right onto Route 138 and follow it for about 11 miles. Merge onto Route 1 South and continue for approximately 7 miles. Take the exit toward Newport and merge onto Route 138 East. Follow the signs for Newport, and continue on Route 138 until it becomes Farewell Street. Continue straight onto Bellevue Avenue. Rough Point will be on your right at 680 Bellevue Ave, Newport, RI 02840. There is no parking fee at Rough Point, but check for any possible entry fees.

    From Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, you will need to first take a taxi or rideshare service to the nearest public transportation hub in Wakefield. Once at Wakefield, take the RIPTA bus (Route 67) towards Newport. The bus ride may take about 30-40 minutes. Upon arriving in Newport, get off at the Bellevue Avenue stop. From there, Rough Point is a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) up Bellevue Avenue. Be sure to check the RIPTA schedule for bus times to plan your trip effectively. The bus fare is about $2.00 per ride.
