Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from downtown Newport. Head east on America's Cup Avenue, then turn left onto Thames Street. Continue on Thames Street until you reach Bellevue Avenue. Turn right onto Bellevue Avenue and follow it for about a mile. Look for Ruggles Avenue on your left. Turn left onto Ruggles Avenue, and you will find The Breakers at 245 Ruggles Ave, Newport, RI 02840. Parking is available near the entrance to The Breakers, but please note that there may be a parking fee.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Newport Public Transportation bus. Find the nearest bus stop and board the bus that goes towards Bellevue Avenue. Get off at the bus stop closest to The Breakers. From there, it's a short walk to 245 Ruggles Ave. The bus fare is typically around $2.00, so be sure to have cash or a transit pass ready.

• Walking

  For those already on the Cliff Walk, simply continue along the path until you reach the end of the Cliff Walk. Follow the signs that direct you towards The Breakers. The walk will take you along scenic ocean views. Once you reach Ruggles Avenue, exit the Cliff Walk and head left. The Breakers will be a short walk down Ruggles Avenue at 245 Ruggles Ave.
