Getting There

    If you are driving, begin at the center of Alba Iulia. Head southeast on Bulevardul 1 Decembrie 1918, then turn right onto Calea Moților. Continue on Calea Moților for approximately 1.5 kilometers. The Alba-Carolina Citadel will be on your left side at Calea Moților 5A. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply. Look for signs indicating parking zones.

    To reach the citadel via public transport, find the nearest bus stop in Alba Iulia. Routes 2 and 5 frequently service the area around the citadel. Board the bus heading towards Calea Moților. Get off at the stop named 'Calea Moților' (the name may vary slightly, so listen for announcements). After disembarking, walk a short distance (approximately 300 meters) northeast along Calea Moților to reach the citadel. The fare is usually around 2 RON but check for the latest ticket prices.

    If you are already in the vicinity and prefer to walk, from the Alba Iulia train station, head east on Strada Horea. Take a left onto Bulevardul 1 Decembrie 1918, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calea Moților. Turn right onto Calea Moților, and walk for about 1 kilometer. The entrance to Alba-Carolina Citadel will be on your left at Calea Moților 5A. This walk should take around 15-20 minutes.
