If you are traveling by car from the center of Alba Iulia, start by heading south on Bulevardul 1 Decembrie 1918 towards Strada Mihai Viteazu. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with DN1. Merge onto DN1 and follow the signs for Brașov. After approximately 90 km, you will enter Brașov. Once in Brașov, follow the signs to the city center. Use Strada Lunga, then turn onto Strada Poarta Schei. The Șchei Gate will be on your right at Strada Poarta Schei 4.
Public Transportation
To reach the Șchei Gate by public transportation, you will first need to take a train from Alba Iulia to Brașov. Trains run regularly from the Alba Iulia train station to Brașov, and the journey takes about 2 hours. Upon arriving at Brașov train station, exit the station and look for the bus stop outside. Take Bus 20 or Bus 30 towards 'Poiana Brașov'. Get off at the 'Poarta Schei' stop. From there, it's a short walk down Strada Poarta Schei to the gate, located at Strada Poarta Schei 4. Note that train tickets can cost around 20-30 RON.
