Getting There

• Public Transport

  From the center of Arad, head to the main bus station (Autogara Arad). You can take a bus to Timișoara, which takes approximately 1 hour. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest departures. Once you arrive at the Timișoara bus station, exit and walk towards the tram station nearby. Board Tram 1 heading towards 'Dâmbovița'. Get off at the 'Hector' stop. From there, it's a short walk to Strada Hector where you can find the Maria Theresia Bastion.

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Arad, head towards Bulevardul Revoluției. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Calea Aurel Vlaicu. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the bus/train station. From there, you can catch a bus to Timișoara, and follow the public transport directions above. Alternatively, if you prefer to walk, the distance is around 50 km and it may take approximately 10 hours, so it's advisable to use public transport.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a local taxi service or a rideshare app. Simply request a ride to 'Maria Theresia Bastion, Strada Hector, Timișoara'. The driver will take you directly there, and the journey will take about 1 hour, depending on traffic conditions. This option is more expensive than public transport but provides convenience and comfort.
