Walking
If you are in the central area of Arad, you can take a pleasant walk to Timișoara. Start at the Arad City Hall (Primăria Arad), located at Bulevardul Revoluției 75. From there, head east on Bulevardul Revoluției until you reach the intersection with Strada Căpitan Ignat. Turn right onto Strada Căpitan Ignat and continue straight until you reach the main road, which will lead you towards the highway. Follow the pedestrian path towards the highway entrance and keep walking towards Timișoara. The total distance is approximately 50 kilometers, so be prepared for a long walk.
Public Transport (bus)
To reach Timișoara by bus, head to the Arad Bus Station (Autogara Arad), located at Calea Aurel Vlaicu 12. From the center of Arad, you can walk or take a short taxi ride to the bus station. Once there, look for a bus heading to Timișoara; these buses run frequently throughout the day. The journey typically takes about 1 hour. Make sure to check the departure times on the schedule posted at the bus station or online. After arriving at the Timișoara Bus Station, you can easily walk to Piața Libertății, which is about a 15-minute walk away.
Train
To travel to Timișoara by train, make your way to the Arad Train Station (Gara Arad), located at Strada Gării. From the city center, you can take a short taxi or bus ride to the train station or walk if you are nearby. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Timișoara. Trains to Timișoara run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 1 hour. After arriving at Timișoara Train Station, follow the signs for the exit and walk towards the city center; Piața Libertății is about a 20-minute walk from the train station.
