From the center of Baia Mare, head to the Baia Mare bus station (Autogara Baia Mare). Take a bus heading towards Săpânța. These buses typically run every hour. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Săpânța, disembark at the main bus stop. The Merry Cemetery (Cimitirul Vesel) is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Head down Strada Principală, then take a left onto Str. Ioan Pătraș. Follow this street until you reach the cemetery.

If you are already in Săpânța, the Merry Cemetery is easy to reach on foot. From the main square in Săpânța, head east on the main road (Strada Principală) for about 500 meters until you see a sign for Str. Ioan Pătraș. Turn left onto Str. Ioan Pătraș and walk straight for another 1 km. The cemetery will be on your right. It is well-marked and you will see its colorful tombstones from a distance.
