The church from Budesti was built in 1643 and is one of largest wooden church built in Maramures.

In Sarbi you can visit a distillery for making "horinca" a traditional fruit brandy and a water mill which grinds the corn using rocks and water power.
One of the most popular site in Maramures, Barsana Monastery has 14 buildings and was built in traditional architecture.
In Barsana you will visit handicrafts men - carving wood.
Merry Cemetery have about 800 crosses and each grave is marked with a beautifully carved wooden cross, painted in blue and with a poem saying something about the life of the decesed.
