Car
From any location in Bihor, head towards the city of Beiuș. You can find Beiuș approximately 60 kilometers northwest of Oradea. Take DN76 road from Beiuș heading towards Huedin. After around 10 kilometers, look for the signs to Cucurbăta Mare and follow the local road. The final approach is along a dirt path that leads directly to the base of the mountain, where you can park your car. Please note that some sections may be unpaved, so a vehicle with good ground clearance is recommended.

Start your journey by taking a train or bus from Oradea to Beiuș. The bus service is frequent, and tickets cost approximately 15-20 RON. Once you arrive in Beiuș, you can either take a taxi to Cucurbăta Mare or check the local bus schedules to see if there is a bus service running towards the mountain. If opting for a taxi, expect to pay around 50-70 RON for a direct trip to the base of Cucurbăta Mare.
