If you're driving from Bistrița, take DN17 towards Năsăud. Continue on DN17 for about 20 km until you reach the village of Cormaia. Once in Cormaia, look for Unnamed Road, which leads to Cascada Cucului. The waterfall is approximately 5 km from the village center. Keep an eye out for parking areas along the road as you approach the waterfall.
Public Transportation
To reach Cascada Cucului via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Bistrița to Năsăud. Buses run frequently, and the fare is approximately 10 RON. From Năsăud, you will need to take another bus to Cormaia. Upon arriving in Cormaia, the waterfall is around 5 km away. You may need to walk or arrange for a local taxi to reach Cascada Cucului from the village. Taxis are generally available and should cost around 20-30 RON.
