To reach Crucea din Pasul Tihuța by car from Bistrița, start by heading south on DN15 towards the town of Piatra Fântânele. The drive is approximately 36 km and takes around 40 minutes. Once you reach Piatra Fântânele, look for signs directing you to Pasul Tihuța. As you approach the pass, you will find parking areas near the monument. Please note that parking may incur a small fee, typically around 5 RON.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Bistrița to Piatra Fântânele. Buses leave from the Bistrița bus station regularly, and the journey takes about 50 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule ahead of time, as departures may vary. Once you arrive in Piatra Fântânele, you can either walk approximately 4 km to reach Crucea din Pasul Tihuța or catch a taxi for a short ride. Taxi fares in the area are reasonable, generally around 20-30 RON for the trip.
