From Bistrița, take DN17 towards Vatra Dornei. After approximately 30 km, you will reach the turnoff for Colibița. Turn right onto DJ173A and follow the signs for Colibița. Continue for about 10 km until you reach the lake area. Park your car at designated parking areas near the lake and then walk towards Tăul Zânelor, which is located a short hike away.

From Bistrița, you can take a bus to Colibița. Buses run regularly from the Bistrița bus station. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at Colibița, you can either walk to Tăul Zânelor, which will require a hike of about 30 minutes, or you can ask local taxi services for a ride to the nearest access point.
